Andrew W. Greig has been managing portfolios for over 15 years. Using his technical skills from a background in biochemistry he applies strong quantitative, disciplined approach to investing. Mr. Greig trades equities, ETFs, currencies, and futures for both clients and his personal accounts.
Andrew started his career as an intern at Fidelity Investments where he developed portfolio attribution software. Following graduate school, he joined Masco Corporation where he managed in excess of $300 million of pension assets. Looking for new challenges, he joined his mentor establishing a boutique investment firm that catered to wealthy clients. Andrew ran the hedge fund for the firm which delivered strong positive returns for investors from 1999 to 2005. After a short sting running just his personal accounts, Mr. Greig joined a family office as chief investment officer. He currently runs and oversees a variety of investments from hedge funds to commodity accounts.
Mr. Greig's approach continues to focus his research and investments on purely quantitative methodologies which minimize the impact of investor bias. His broad range of experience allows him to bring a unique perspective to the investment process.
Prior to managing money, Mr. Greig worked as a research biochemist for two start-up biotechnology companies. In this capacity he worked on the precursor to the ubiquitous at home pregnancy tests as well as testing on Amgen's blockbuster drug, tPA. Andrew received the Biochemistry Science Award in 1987 from the University of Vermont where he received his BS in Biochemistry. He holds his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Mr. Greig holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
